How Yoga can help you
Hatha yoga sessions with Sara are a gentle form of yoga focusing on joints and movements of the body. They promote well-being not just physically, but also mentally – holistically supporting your mind, body and soul. Sara tailors her yoga sessions to the individuals in the class providing problem solving to help her students with their specific challenges – whether it’s joint pain, back pain, stress or flexibility.
Yoga By Sara
Sara has been practicing yoga for 40 years and qualified as a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2007. She attributes her age-defying flexibility and youthfulness to her daily yoga practice! Yoga and meditation has brought Sara balance both physically and mentally. She wants to share her knowledge and the practice of yoga to all who are open to it.
As a teacher she strives to create a respectful, inclusive environment. Always being mindful of her student’s abilities, experience and comfort-levels.
Classes
Classes are weekly Saturday at 9am and last for 60 mins.
Our classes start with breath control (pranayama) exercises to encourage our minds to relax and help us focus on the yoga ahead.
Following pranayma we will do some preparation stretches to ready our bodies for the asanas (postures) and then move into the asanas themselves. This is the main section of the class.
After the asanas we will flow through some relaxation stretches to help our bodies to recover. And finally we end the class with 15 minutes of guided meditation.
What to bring
- Wear loose comfortable clothing that allows for movement
- Yoga mat
- Towel
- Block & yoga belt (not required for first session)
- Blanket or shawl (for meditation if you like to cover yourself)
Cost
First session is £10. Single session £15 or a block of 6 sessions for £60.
Attending
Please contact me to book a spot. You are welcome to walk-in, but we can’t guarantee a space.
Location
Our classes are in the All Saints Parish Church hall. It’s a warm, welcoming, clean space with plenty of room for us to move freely. There is easy parking onsite.
